Nick and Hannah

We got married ourselves back in January of 2017 and loved getting to plan the wedding that we had always envisioned. Before we met, Nick graduated from GVSU with a degree in Hospitality Management and continued his education in Florence, Italy, where he earned his master’s degree in Culinary Arts. I, Hannah, have been a wedding and portrait photographer for the past ten years and love all things wedding and design. After photographing over 150 weddings, I’ve fallen in love with capturing beautiful moments, crafting stunning aesthetics, planning seamless timelines, and celebrating couples deeply in love.

Nick and I wanted to combine our passions for hospitality, beautiful aesthetics, true love, and good food into a shared career, and that’s how The Broadway Avenue was born. We are old souls and loved the historic character and charm of the building when we came upon it. While it needed much more TLC than we initially expected, we knew it was the perfect place to create the venue of our dreams. We hope that this will be the venue of your own wedding dreams, too.  

When Nick and I are not hosting weddings and running The Broadway Avenue business, we are spending our time with our children, Henrietta, Arthur, Eloise, and Bernadette. We love eating peanut butter cup ice cream and watching Shark Tank or any singing show ever televised.

We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He is at the center of our family, our marriage and of this business that He has given to us to steward and grow. Without Him, none of this would be possible. We believe in God’s perfect design for marriage between a man and a woman, joined together in a sacred covenant with Jesus. Weddings are the ultimate picture of Christ and His Church, the bride and the bridegroom. Every wedding and event we host here at The Broadway Avenue is a dress rehearsal for the ultimate wedding celebration that we will be a part of in Heaven. Oh what a thought that is! We feel so honored and blessed by His calling in our lives and we give Him all the Glory and Praise.

It’s surreal to see the visions and dreams we’ve held for so long come to life in this 120-year-old church. It is now a beautiful venue where the most memorable moments are created between you and the ones you love. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
