6 Fall Wedding Venues In Michigan

No matter what part of the country you’re in, fall is easily one of the best times of the year, and there’s good reason why it’s so many people’s favorite season.

It’s just warm enough that you don’t need to layer up too much. It’s also just cool enough that you can wear your more stylish outfits while enjoying that fresh autumn breeze.

And all of this while also being able to see the leaves change into their beautiful colors before winter.

That’s why fall is associated with transitions, and it’s why fall wedding venues in Michigan are perfect places to celebrate one of the most important transitions in your life.

Not only do you get to have your wedding in one of the prettiest states in the country, you also get to have it during one of the prettiest times of the whole year.

1. Broadway

You know whose website you’re on, so you knew this would be the first on the list.

But it’s not without reason.

We’re confident that anyone who chooses to get married at Broadway will be glad they did so.

We’ve already been hosting weddings in this 120-year-old church since we finished renovating it in 2022.

It has been a great experience for us, and the best part about it for us as a couple has been helping other couples start the rest of their lives together.

We truly love the fact that we can offer a traditional church setting along with the personal level of support from another happily married couple (us).

To be honest, there are bigger and more expensive fall wedding venues in Michigan, but that personal touch and traditional ambiance rooted in storied tradition is what you’ll find at Broadway.

We’re here for you every step of the way.

2. Castle Farms

Castle Farms is another of our state’s historical treasures.

With vast gardens and abundant water features, and, as its name suggests, a castle like appearance, Castle Farms is positively enchanting.

And they’ve been around since 1918. That’s over 100 years!

Especially if you’re planning a big wedding with a lot of people, it’s definitely worth contacting them to get some information and a price quote.

If nothing else, it’s worth visiting the castle at some point while you’re in Michigan, even if you don’t end up getting married there.

3. Zingerman’s Cornman Farms

Also sitting atop a lot of beautiful land is Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Rather than a castle, they have a traditional American farmhouse aesthetic, and they pull it off flawlessly.

In contrast to Castle Farms, they specialize in smaller weddings and elopements.

Priding themselves on their ability to create a cozy ambiance and feeling of intimacy, they are known for being one of the better small fall wedding venues in Michigan.

We’d say they’re ideal if you’re planning a wedding with around 100 people or less.

4. Hidden Vinyard Wedding Barn

With 70 whole acres to their name, Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn is next on this list.

And as they’ll tell you, they’re situated right in the center of the Lake Michigan Shore AVA (American Viticultural Area.

Yes, that’s right, we grow wine here in Michigan.

In fact, it’s one of only five officially recognized AVAs in the state.

Most people don’t know that, but while you’re here in Michigan, it’s definitely worth visiting and touring one or two of the 15 wineries within the AVA.

And while you’re at it, give Hidden Vineyard a call to ask them more about what makes them special and get a price quote.

5. Stonegate Manor

Stongate Manor is a venue in the forest. Or at least that’s how it feels when you’re there, with old trees towering above you.

In general, Michigan is a fantastic place for nature lovers, and Stonegate is a wonderful venue for them, especially during fall when the leaves are changing.

They even call their most popular ceremony spot the “Fairy Garden.”

So, if you want your wedding to resemble that scene in The Lord of the Rings when Aragorn and Arwen pledged their love to each other amidst the trees, this might be a place for you to look into.

6. Lavender Hill Farm

The last entry here is Lavender Hill Farm in northern Michigan, near Petoskey.

As they’ll tell you, they’re all about slowing down and really appreciating the simple pleasures of life. A pleasant smell, a gentle breeze, and a calm sense that things are going to be ok.

We think this makes them great at hosting weddings, and there’s a certain experience you’ll get with them that is probably unique.

And they are actually a real, functioning lavender farm. So you can imagine the smell: heavenly.

The Season of Transitions

We wish we could list off more of the phenomenal fall wedding venues in Michigan.

But to be honest, we’ve run out of space here.

Rest assured that this list is not complete, and that a venue not being on this list doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t recommend it.

Of course, we’d probably have to recommend our own venue first. 😉

But you already knew that.

Whether you choose to book Broadway for your wedding or another one of the lovely fall wedding venues in Michigan, we wish you all the best and hope that your married life together is as magical as ours has been.

You’ve got our support, and we wish you all the joy in the world!
